If this is the first time you have actually contacted us, [and hopefully you may become one of our long standing customers], in order at this point to help speed up the time in quoting to you, as well as saving you valuable time, we would like to make you fully aware of the fact that R Pro Decorators are professional painters & decorators; We have in fact been fully assessed , approved and accredited by Dulux themselves, hence work to a stringent and strict code of practice and work ethic, resulting in being proud to be registered as “Dulux Select Decorators”. That award is not given out lightly by the paint company; So we take pride in all we achieve, taking care in all projects, we are not a “slap dash” company, indeed we pride ourselves in caring for each and every customers needs no matter what is asked of us.
When working we take and treat all projects as if we were working on our own homes, hence ensuring every time a finished contract to be proud of. We also explain that some customers initially might not fully understand the varying differences in the cost of paint, and associated products. In fact some paints can and often do cost from £20 – £90, per pot of paint, depending upon each customer`s requirements and specification chosen on paint; We firmly believe it is better to do the job properly and correctly once, and therefore have it last. In addition, that fact also follows when comparing quotations with the correct and proper preparation of any contract work, we consider thorough well based preparation is “key on any job”; In fact professional preparation can actually save time [and money] to the customer, as it allows not only a truly superb finish to the painting, but also quicker drying times, and also often prevents further issues from occurring half way through a contract.
In order that we can prepare for our important visit to you very shortly, and so not to waste time, if you could kindly please provide a short idea of what it is you hope to have painted [e.g. number of rooms or area approximately] together with an idea of what your “potential budget” may be before we visit; this information will help streamline & tailor our specialized quotation team to fit your needs; We fully appreciate and accept that everyone has different budgets, and we will do our very best to work to those requirements no matter the size of your personal budget.
We will point out the importance of ensuring in all quotes that any “comparisons” are indeed on a like for like basis, so as to ensure our highest standards are not compromised at any time. We will also point out to you should ones hoped for achievable budget is considered unrealistic, and if so, why. We will never de value our high standards in order to simply be engaged in work, as we are justifiably proud of all we have and do achieve for all our many satisfied long standing, and/ or new customers across the South of England.
If however you are at this point in time unsure on your proposed budget, or have not had this type of work done previously, or nothing for a long period of time, then we can guide you in our usual considered and very friendly way. Just tell us before we visit you; In fact customers “perceived budgets” in our experience, can often be MORE than in fact a job or contract need cost, and we are regularly complimented by many for actually saving customers money and achieving the “aimed for” contract actually UNDER the clients initial budget;
Also it is worth pointing out that when “comparing” various companies’ quotations and / or estimates, often the first [and sometimes only] thing a customer looks at is the final quoted price; This can be misguided, and sometimes detrimental and in the end can also be a costly mistake.
We however recommend that you look into the quotation further and ask these important points. Are the other companies quoting for the same standard of work & preparation as we automatically offer on all our contracts?
Also are they painting the same identical areas? Also are the actual products & required materials they are using the same as the top products we always use ? Furthermore, are they painting the correct amount / number of coats of paint on the surfaces i.e. 2 to 3 coats? Is the team workman ship as professional as our renowned standards are? Sometimes, in fact often, we find these factors haven’t been looked at correctly when comparing like for like. The price you may be looking at from other companies could potently be half of the required finish, resulting therefore wasting your money; In fact you could then require some additional unplanned for correction work to finish the job correctly to the standards you had hoped for and that you require.
